A day trip to the Ancient town of Penrith and a visit to the Reghed Heritage Centre
A day trip to enjoy the historic town of Penrith - Stroll around the cobbled lanes of the town centre and explore the wealth of independent shops. Unwind in the boutique cafes or restaurants offering fine dining and world cuisine.
Sandstone buildings hide intriguing lanes, yards and alleyways, leading to attractive cottages, gardens and curious little shops.
We then continue onto the Reghed Centre in the afternoon - Rheged was a kingdom covering a large part of modern Cumbria as well as areas of Dumfries and Galloway and extended, for some of its history, into present day Yorkshire.
Rheged is a gallery, café, cinema, shopping venue, workplace and creative space on the edge of the Northern Lakes, housed under a grass roof.
