Bedale Market & Northallerton

Enjoy a visit to the charming market towns of Bedale and Northallerton. Our first stop is Bedale - home to a host of unique shops offering everything from jewellery and antiques to custom-made furniture, women’s fashion, china and gifts. Foodies, in particular, are well catered for. Wensleydale cheese is, of course, a local speciality, as is real dairy ice cream from dales herds and Yorkshire beers. The town’s butcher is locally renowned. The weekly market on Tuesdays continues the food theme with the fishmonger, locally grown vegetables and plant stalls amongst the most popular.

After some free time in Bedale we then continue onto Northallerton - Set in the rich farmland of Herriot Country, you would be forgiven for thinking Northallerton is the perfect place for a sedate country escape. But additionally, this thriving and bustling market town is full of life.  Northallerton is home to a number of historic landmarks, including the impressive All Saints Church and the iconic Northallerton War Memorial. With its friendly locals, beautiful scenery,  Northallerton walks, and rich cultural heritage, Northallerton is the perfect place to experience the best of Yorkshire.
