Weekend in Berkshire

A Weekend tour to Berkshire including an excursion back in time at the Milestones Museum, a relaxing cruise and time spent in Winchester and Royal Windsor.

Enjoy a fabulous Weekend break in Berkshire staying at the 4 star Hilton reading hotel on dinner, bed & breakfast. The Hilton Reading hotel has a contemporary style and provides an ideal base for a weekend break. Hotel facilities include indoor heated swimming pool and fitness centre along with Sauna & Steam room. All bedrooms are ensuite and have tv, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffeee making facilities.

Itinerary

Day One:

We depart your home town area and travel to Reading arriving late afternoon at the Hilton Reading hotel for a 3 night / 4 day break on dinner,bed & breakfast.

Day Two:

Departing after breakfast we visit the historic city of Winchester, with its magnificent cathedral. Enjoy free time at leisure to explore and obtain lunch.

Later we head to Milestones - a living history museum where you wander down cobbled streets, chat with staff in period costume and explore the shops and factories to experience everyday life from 1810 to 1950.

Day Three:

After breakfast we have a short drive taking in some of the beautiful Berkshire countryside as we head for Henley-on-Thames, famous for its annual regatta.

We have a short time to explore the town before we board our boat for a 1 hour river cruise along the Thames. Afterwards, we head to Royal Windsor where you could enjoy lunch, and visit the famous Windsor Castle or one of its many independent stores or quaint streets.

Day Four: After breakfast we depart hotel and begin our return journey home.
