Holiday Highlights: Visit to Brodsworth Hall, visit to visit to York Chocolate Story, Cruise on the River Ouse, guided tour of Lincoln & Lincoln Cathedral, Cream tea.
Day One: We depart your home area in the morning and travel to South Yorkshire to arrive late afternoon at the Mercure Doncaster Centre Danum Hotel where tea and coffee will be served on arrival. Later, evening meal will be served.
Day Two: After breakfast we depart hotel and travel to the historic city of Lincoln with its magnificent cathedral, and next to it is the Norman Castle. First, we meet our guide for a familiarisation tour of the city on the coach, followed by a guided tour of the Cathedral itself. There is then free time to explore the city at leisure. The old town is a labyrinth of little alleyways and interesting shops to explore with plenty of tea rooms to keep you going for refreshments. We then return back to the hotel in time for evening meal which will be a special 3 course traditional dinner menu.
Day Three: After breakfast we depart hotel and travel to the delightful Brodsworth Hall. Explore the changing fortunes of a wealthy Vistorian family and their servants. We see the Grand Drawing Room, Billiard room, family bedroos and victorian kitchen - all featuring memorabilia from bygone times.
We return to the hotel early afternoon to enjoy a tradiitonal Cream tea with scones, jam and cream. Later, evening meal will be served.
Day Four: After breakfast we depart hotel and travel to York with inclusive visit to 'The Chocolate Story' for a guided tour of the history of chocolate making in York, including the Rowntree's factory which opened in 1890. Following our tour we enjoy free time at leisure to explore the city, see the famous Shambles and the magnificent York Minster. Later we enjoy a relaxing cruise on the River Ouse to see the city from the water. The perfect way to round off your visit to York. We return back to the hotel in time for Evening Meal and a Quiz evening.
Day Five: After breakfast we depart hotel and begin our journey home.
£30 per person deposit payable on booking with full balance due by 12th February 2027.
