Located just outside Irvine, in Ayrshire, one of Scotland's most beautiful areas and only seven miles from Prestwick Airport, the Riverside Lodge Hotel Irvine is perfectly placed for both business and leisure.
Nestled amidst the captivating landscapes of Irvine, the hotel beckons with a promise of tranquillity and sophistication. Whether youre here for business or leisure, the meticulously designed accommodations, coupled with genuine hospitality, offer a haven of relaxation and charm.
Day One - We depart your home town in the morning and travel to Scotland arriving late afternoon at the Riverside Lodge Hotel where you will stay for 5 nights on Dinner, Bed & Breakfast. Hotel entertainment will be provided on three evenings during your stay. Tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival.
Day Two - After breakfast we make the short journey to Ardrossan where we board the morning sailing for the Isle of Arran. The crossing takes around 55 minutes and on arrival in Brodick, the island's main town, you will have time to obtain lunch and have a look around. We have a short sightseeing tour of the island before we catch the return sailing to Ardrossan.
Day Three - After breakfast we head into Glasgow and visit the superb newly opened Riverside Glasgow Transport Museum. It is the first purpose-built museum created by Glasgow Life in the 21st century. One of the highlights of the museum is the recreated street scene, which provides a glimpse into Glasgow's past. Visitors can stroll along a cobbled street lined with shops, houses, and even a subway station, all authentically recreated to transport visitors back in time.
Riverside Museum also features interactive displays, and hands-on activities, making it an engaging experience for visitors of all ages. It offers a unique opportunity to learn about Glasgow's industrial heritage, the people who shaped the city, and the transportation innovations that have shaped the world.
Afterwards we have free time in Glasgow, home to flagship stores, impressive shopping centres and designer favourites all within an easily walkable area. Later we return to the hotel for Evening meal.
Day Four - After breakfast we depart hotel and the day begins with a drive south along the Ayreshire Coast through Troon to Ayr, a popular holiday resort complete with charming sea front, leafy suburbs and range of places to stay. Ayr has a fantastic esplanade with a long sandy beach which is perfect for walking. Spend time here and obtain some lunch. We then continue onto the spectacular Culzean Castle and Country Park, set in a stunning clifftop location near Turnberry. The castle offers much of interest, with terraced gardens, woodland, ponds, wildlife garden, walled garden and deer park to explore. Later we return to hotel for evening meal.
Day Five - After breakfast we leave the hotel and cross the Erskine Bridge and head along the north of the river to Helensburgh for a short break. From here we continue along Gare Loch and Loch Long to Arrochar and on to Tarbet , on the banks of Loch Lomond. We stop at Lomond Shores complex with a chance to obtain lunch and browse the shops before we leave for Balloch. Here we board a cruise on Loch Lomond before we make our way back over the bridge to the hotel for evening meal.
Day Six - After breakfast , we depart the hotel and begin our journey home.
£30 per person deposit payable on booking followed by remaining balance paid on or before 15th March 2026.
