Glasgow Christmas Markets & Cream tea

A Festive tour to Glasgow to visit the Christmas markets and as a special treat enjoy a cream tea at the famous tea rooms designed by Charles Ronnie Mackintosh.

Enjoy a festive 4 day weekend break on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis staying in the fabulous 4 star Glynhill Hotel & Spa in Renfrew just 15 minutes from Glasgow. The hotel offers a friendly warm Scottish welcome, all bedrooms are ensuite and include TV's, Wi-fi, hairdryers, tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift and leisure facilities including a swimming pool, gym and sauna/steam room.

Itinerary for the weekend break includes visiting the Glasgow Christmas Markets, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum plus a special cream tea treat at the famous Mackintosh tea rooms designed by Charles Ronnie Mackintosh.

Day one: We depart your home area in the morning travelling to Glasgow, arriving at the hotel late afternoon with free time before evening meal is served.

Day two: After breakfast we depart hotel and travel a short distance to Glasgow City Centre for a full day at the Christmas Markets. The markets encompass colourful stalls offering a selection of gifts, handmade products, and world cuisine set in a festive village of rustic cabins and stalls. Whether you're shopping for s special gift or looking for a bite to eat, Glasgow's Christmas Markets will be sure to please. We then return to hotel for Evening meal.

Day three: After breakfast we depart hotel and travel to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum with 22 galleries to explore. There is something to see for everyone, from exotic animals, Charles Rennie Mackintosh to Ancient Egypt and beautiful art. The site also features a restaurant, cafe and gift shop to enjoy.

After free time spent at Kelvingrove we then continue our short journey onto the Mackintosh at the Willow. In 1903 the famous architect Charles Ronnie Mackintosh designed the Willow Tea Rooms Building for Miss Cranston, one of his loyal patrons. You will discover their story at the exhibition before sitting down for Cream tea at the famous originally resorted Mackintosh Tea Rooms.

Day Four: After breakfast we depart the hotel and begin our journey home.
