Enjoy 2 nights stay at the fabulous 4 Star Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel situated in the historic market town of Retford. This will be on Dinner, Bed & Breakfast. This festive weekend break takes you to Chatsworth House all dressed up for Christmas season. Decorated with foliage, lights, candles and scenes to evoke the spirit of Christmas. the house is a superb Peak District Gem. We also visit Bakewell.
Enjoy a fabulous Festive Weekend Break staying at the 4 star Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel located in the historic market town of Retford. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, with a graceful fountain at its heart. Peaceful paths wind through colorful blooms, offering a serene escape.
Day One - We depart from your home town in the morning and travel to the Best Western Plus Retford Hotel, arriving late in the afternoon for 2 nights stay on dinner,bed & breakfast.
Day Two - After breakfast we depart hotel and make the short journey to Bakewell - The biggest town in the Peak District, best known for its unique and delicious Pudding, Bakewell has many more tempting treats to offer - ranging from shopping and specialist markets to relaxing strolls.
Legend has it that the town's famous Bakewell Pudding was created by mistake by a local cook in the mid-19th century. Today her delectable 'jam tart that went wrong' can be sampled at various bakeries and cafés and posted virtually anywhere in the world!
We leave Bakewell around midday and continue onto Chatsworth House - delightfully decorated for Christmas. You also have the opportunity to visit the shop which will be well-stocked with seasonal gifts. You m ay wish to end the day with a well-deserved cuppa in the cafe before we return to the hotel.
Day Three - After breakfast we depart for the return journey home.
