Set beside the River Coquet, Amble is a charming coastal town with a picturesque harbour, marina and Amble Harbour Village, where visitors can browse a collection of quirky wooden retail pods selling local food, crafts, gifts and produce. The town’s market offers locally sourced produce, handmade goods and unique gifts. 

The Puffin Festival celebrates the town’s famous feathered visitors from nearby Coquet Island, an important seabird sanctuary. Festival activities can include craft fairs, local food, live music, arts and crafts, wildlife and nature walks, birdwatching, talks and family entertainment. 

There will also be plenty of time to explore the harbour, browse the market stalls, enjoy lunch by the waterfront or simply take in the sea air. For those who want to see the puffins themselves, boat trips from Amble Harbour may be available, weather permitting, although these should be booked separately in advance.
