Enjoy a 3 night's / 4 day Weekend stay on Half Board Basis at the charming White Swan Hotel in Alnwick. THe hotel is a 300 year old coaching inn that blends its unique heritage with superb accommodation. All bedrooms are En-Suite and have television, hair dryer & Tea & Coffee making facilities.
The tour covers a variety of splendid scenery, contrasting countryside, historic towns, rugged coastlines, rolling hills and quaint northern villages. The ancient Kingdom of Northumbria offers some of the most striking unspoilt beauty in England.
Day 1: We depart your home town in the morning and travel to Alnwick arriving late afternoon at the White Swan Hotel. After dinner is served you can sit back and enjoy Entertainment (Quiz or bingo)
Day 2: After breakfast we depart the hotel for an excursion to the North of Northumberland across the causeway to Holy Island and the mysterious Lindisfarne Castle. Later we return making a stop in Bamburgh, with its mighty castle on the beach. Perhaps visit the Grace Darling Museum.
Note: The crossing of the causeway to Holy Island is governed by times. It may be necessary to amend this excursion.
After Dinner enjoy Evening Entertainment (Quiz or Bingo)
Day 3: After a leisurely breakfast, we journey along the Northumberland coast making our first stop in the pretty harbour of Seahouses. After enjoying some free time here we make our way back to Alnwick where you will have free time to explore the traditional market town. Before dinner tonight we enjoy a Gin Tasting session at the hotel.
Day 4: After breakfast we depart the hotel and begin the journey home with fond memories of your weekend in Northumbria.
