Heighley Gate Garden Centre & Morpeth

Enjoy a fabulous day out with a morning stop at the Heighley Gate Garden Centre in Northumberland - whether you are just getting started on your first garden project or are a seasoned gardener, you can enjoy quality and value at the garden centre. The restaurant serves delicious meals, snacks, afternoon teas, and daily specials. Alongside the departments and restaurant, they have many in-store retail partners for you to shop with whilst visiting.  

We then continue onto the Historic Market town of Morpeth where you can enjoy browsing an eclectic mix of shops with even more along Bridge Street and Newgate Street or head to Sanderson Arcade with a vast array of shops.  There is also the lovely Carlisle park opposite Morpeth Town Centre, the park combines formal gardens with more relaxed open spaces and woodland.  Carlisle Park is also the home of the steep sided Ha' Hill, on which  Morpeth's first castle was built, and not far away, the remains of  Morpeth's second castle.
