York: Impressive Cathedral City with famous streets such as The Shambles and a city wall to walk around.

It’s an age-old debate which of these cities is the capital of Yorkshire, which one will you choose to venture to on this coach excursion?

For those who enjoy cityscapes and shopping, Leeds is a great location for spending the pennies. York is full of culture, with cobbled streets and museums a plenty. Enjoy a spot to eat in one of their many cosy cafes or simply step back in time walking down the famous Shambles.

Leeds | £20 per person | £19 per child, silver surfer or online ticket

York is the destination of choice for todays day-tour. Known for its historic minster, vibrant culture, take time out to enjoy some of the country's most talented street entertainers or simply watch the world go by while sipping a drink by the river. There are hundreds of attractions, museums, shops and restaurants to visit, undoubtedly too much to experience in one day, but it will simply leave you wishing you could spend more time there.
A talking point for any visit to York would not be complete with a mention of the world-famous York Minster. Combined with its medieval stained glass, stone masterpieces and foundations rooted in the nation's earliest history, the Cathedral paints a colorful picture of the England's turbulent past. Although you'll need to pay for admission its well worth the fee, as well as everything above ground you'll also get to experience the underground chambers as they take you on a 2000-year interactive journey.
Needless to say, should the Minster not appeal to you then stick to the narrow, cobbled streets with cafes, independent shops and character at every turn.
