Dating back to 600AD, Alnwick was labelled as the most picturesque market town in Northumberland and the best place to live in Britain by Country Life in 2002. This small town is extremely popular for tourists with its beautiful streets that come alive on whenever there is a market day.
Don't forget about the Castle and the Garden of course! The castle and stately home is the seat of the Duke of Northumberland. Listed as a Grade I building the Castle and surrounding gardens are truly spectacular, full of character and history that is sure to enthral any visiting tourist.
